The Information We Collect

Personal Information. You provide your mobile phone number to create a eChat account. You regularly provide us with the phone number in your mobile address book, including the number of people that use our services and your other contacts' phone number. You confirm you are authorized to provide us such numbers. You can also add additional information to your account, such as your profile name, profile photo, and status messages, and the information you provide us through the use of eChat – for example, via:

In the Add Contact feature, share your contact list with eChat to connect with users;

Information made available by another user about you via their use of eChat – for example, any Shared Information that others using eChat make available about you via the Official Account; and information we collect as you use eChat, such as certain Location Data and Log Data.

Your Messages. We will not keep your messages; the messages will be removed from our servers when your messages (including chat history, photos, videos, voice messages, files, and location information) are sent. Your messages are stored on your own device. Your messages are encrypted to protect against third parties.

Location Data. We collect regarding your location (when you use a location-enabled service), including:

The location of your device when using eChat, such as from the GPS, WiFi, compass, accelerometer or other sensors in your mobile device;

The IP address of the device or internet service you use to access eChat; and

Additional information provided by you or others that gives an indication as to where you are or have been located, and shared information that you or someone else has posted that indicates your location.

The shared information may include posts that you post on eChat (including your public profile, photos, videos and voice recordings as accessed with your prior consent through your device's camera and/or microphone sensor), any postings from others that you re-post and Location Data and Log Data associated with such postings. You can link your eChat contact list to your contact list on your device and/or in your

account on third party services, in order to search for and connect with contacts on those contact lists who also have a eChat account.
